Find the Best Offers & Grow Your Grapevine

Offer Grapevine Breaks All Growth Records

OfferGrapevine.com, the world's first example of a social network combining with an affinity group, gained over 10,000 members in its first 5 days of operation during its pre-launch which just began. The fast growth of this site is attributed to its “One Click” affiliate builder system that makes it possible for anyone to build a large personal buying network—called a “Grapevine”. Word of mouth promotion is still the most effective means of advertising as everyone knows. OfferGrapevine.com has coupled this fact with the power of internet social networks to develop a truly explosive viral marketing system.

OfferGrapevine.com was established because of several clear internet trends now becoming evident to national research groups such as Pew Internet research which recently reported that:

  • 81% of all internet users do research on the internet before making an online purchase.
  • 43% of internet users report significant frustration in finding adequate information about certain offers.
  • 66% of Internet users have purchased products online but a large percentage is concerned about the security of buying.
  • Online shopping grew 500% from 2000 to 2007 exceeding 125 billion dollars in annual sales.

OfferGrapevine.com has placed hundreds of major consumer and B2B companies under one internet roof so that potential customers can easily locate any type of product or service imaginable. The system also pays people to recommend other people to use the site. This is known as “building one’s Grapevine”. Within the next seven days, a breakthrough in consumer offer review and voting will go live on the site as well.

With the cost of living going up, millions of American families are also searching for additional sources of income without having the heads of households of the family having to take on a second job. With OfferGrapevine.com an individual can easily build a Grapevine of friends, families and associates using OfferGrapevine.com’s unique “One Click” system to build a huge personal network of shoppers. OfferGrapevine has estimated that each Grapevine household could generate up to $1750 in annual site commissions for an OfferGrapevine associate (similar to an affiliate). Using the “One Click” system an OfferGrapevine.com associate could easily gain 50 to 100 households in their Grapevine in a few short weeks.

OfferGrapevine.com has strategically launched this site to take advantage of the upcoming Christmas shopping season and expects to have over 200,000 members by the end of the summer. OfferGrapevine has been established and will be managed by Intouch Marketing, Inc., an online marketing company based in Florida.

Pig's 'green' genes passed to offspring

A cloned pig whose genes were altered to make it glow fluorescent green has passed on the trait to its young, a development that could lead to the future breeding of pigs for human transplant organs, a Chinese university reported.

The glowing piglets' birth proves transgenic pigs are fertile and able to pass on their engineered traits to their offspring, according to Liu Zhonghua, a professor overseeing the breeding program at Northeast Agricultural University.

Christmas card arrives 93 years late

A postcard featuring a color drawing of Santa Claus and a young girl was mailed in 1914, but its journey was slower than Christmas. It just arrived in northwest Kansas.

The Christmas card was dated Dec. 23, 1914, and mailed to Ethel Martin of Oberlin, apparently from her cousins in Alma, Neb.

It's a mystery where it spent most of the last century, Oberlin Postmaster Steve Schultz said. "It's surprising that it never got thrown away," he said. "How someone found it, I don't know."

Ethel Martin is deceased, but Schultz said the post office wanted to get the card to a relative.

That's how the 93-year-old relic ended up with Bernice Martin, Ethel's sister-in-law. She said she believed the card had been found somewhere in Illinois.

"That's all we know," she said. "But it is kind of curious. We'd like to know how it got down there."

The card was placed inside another envelope with modern postage for the trip to Oberlin — the one-cent postage of the early 20th century wouldn't have covered it, Martin said.

"We don't know much about it," she said. "But wherever they kept it, it was in perfect shape."

Surgery over; Youssif's biggest scar removed

Five-year-old Youssif underwent his most important surgery Thursday as his doctor removed the most extensive scar tissue on his face -- putting him on the path of being a normal boy again.

Youssif entered the operating room around 6:30 a.m. PT for the three-and-a-half hour surgery.

Just before the surgery began, Youssif began crying.

"I can't do this. I can't do this," he said.

Sedation then set in, he relaxed and Dr. Peter Grossman, the plastic surgeon with the Grossman Burn Center who is donating his services, began to operate.

He removed two saline-filled balloons placed in Youssif's neck and face that provided more good skin by stretching it. The largest balloon was about the size of a soda can.

Grossman then cut out the scar tissue and pulled up Youssif's healthy skin.

The doctor was amazed at how thick the scar tissue was -- about half an inch thick -- and "hard as wood."

When the tissue was removed, Youssif's jaw immediately relaxed, raising hopes that he will soon be able to eat normally again.

"The bottom part of his face looks like the old Youssif. He has a jaw line again. It's unbelievable," CNN's Arwa Damon said after coming out of the operating room.

The surgery ended around 10 a.m. PT.
Ahead of the surgery, Grossman was excited for Youssif. "This will be the most significant of the surgeries," he said.

One of the scars removed extended more than half a foot, stretching from his right ear around to his left cheek.
